I'm Phoebe, mother to Isabelle (soon to be 13) and Caroline 9. I have been on Hipmama on and off since 1999.
I'm back!
My almost 13 year old is driving me crazy and I thought it would be a good idea to get back onto hipmama for some love and support.

hey phoebe. i have a 13 year old, so i feel ya. there was a time here when everyone seemed to have young kids and we older kids' mamas were a minority. so, it'd be great to know i can write and have someone get it.
When I was your age, I was already trying to kill my second husband and make it look like bears did it.

I have a 12 y.o. and 11 y.o. and I'm there with you. I love ariel's quote I wanted my kid to question authority just not mine.....
I want my children to understand how much I love and care bout them but also help out with the dishes and laundry sometimes without it turning into a fight....
I don't know your situation but....I hope you get what you need from the hipmamas :)

I also have been off and on, mostly off for quite some time. Moved around a bit and haven't always had a computer.
I miss DC! She is so inspiring, and inspired me to make some major life changes for the better and I feel so great these days.
