NaNoWriMo

How is everyone doing? Behind on wordcount? Excited about your story? If you want to try to get together over on the nano boards, here's a link to a thread created for that!

Good job! 15k wow! I am struggling to not give up. I just got the interesting part of my story so that is encouraging but I feel like I will never catch up.

Wish I had seen this ahead of time, except that I was working 55 hours a week at the beginning of this month...

But, I like this local teacher: http://petaluma.patch.com/articles/teacher-scraps-all-classwork-homework...

I don't think I could write a novel in 9 days.

wish i had a teacher like that in school.

this grabbed my attention

"Thirteen-year-old Jessie Rivera and an eighth grader at Kenilworth is reaching into her own life to pen her novel about three girlfriends, two of whom develop feelings for each other. She has already written 3,000 words and says the experience has been really fun."

Re: NaNoWriMo

Just saw this thread...I'm at 42K tonight, but I *was* way further ahead, and the last few days I've had brain drain. Plus, I know the first book in this series is topping out at about 80K, so 50K does not feel like as much of a finish line, if that makes sense. Like my story, but I'm also waiting on overdue crits on the first book...that poses its own set of problems.

Go, NaNoMamas!

That's so cool that you have your own higher goal than the one for NaNo. Also good for you for plugging ahead even though other people are behind schedule on giving you feedback. Sometimes you just can't wait for others...you have to just keep going on your own!
