Yarnbombing

An interview about yarnbombing from our archives: Knitterview by Stacey Greenberg....

And an article about some new stuff in Europe:

This rainbow-coloured spiderweb crochet design took three months to stitch by an artist known only as Babukatorium.

Pretty nifty!

Those trees are really lovely!

I recall reading about someone or other doing something similar somewhere o'er here, but cannot remember where...

I'm thinking of my cranky neighbor's house. She could use some color, and I have some bright yellow!

Re: Yarnbombing

It's a total thing around here. It's almost to be expected. I remember the first time I saw a yarnbombed tree. It was so delightful! It was in front of a Montessori school, and the school liked it so much they left it up. I'm pretty sure it was one of the parents!

I would love to go around to cranky people's houses and do it! Maybe they wouldn't be so cranky? lol

Love the interview Stacey did -- it remains one of my favorites in all the archives. I knit only to rid myself of the productof my spinning. I got a fleece few years ago and am into my second year of trying to knit a sweater... Never again! From now on, smaller projects only!
