HipMama knowledge needed
Hi y'all
Friends of mine are pregnant with their first baby (yay!). They currently live in Australia but are meant to be moving to New York in a few months, and only just found out the exciting news.
So I'm after any insights, tips, resources, links, facts and advice etc about having a baby in the States, about health care, about birthing options and post-natal care and requirements and especially anything specific to the NY area.
And anyone willing to correspond, or know of any hipmamas in NY who might be, pm me your details and I'll pass them on...

The first thing I thought of was the website My Best Birth. The two authors / organizers live and birthed in New York City. I linked to the resources page, which is a veritable gold mine of links to good sites. The whole site has good stuff.
If she has any specific questions, I don't live in New York, but I know people who do, and I am a birth obsessed person. Please feel free to PM me.
