my daughter asked for a tattoo. she has a really cool idea for one, i told her it would be so awesome, if only her parents were willing to sign consent. which we're not.

Let her know that if she really likes the design, it will still be nice when she is 18 and old enough to sign the consent form.

18. And she should pay for it herself

he's got to wait till he stops growing. He's been asking me a lot recently, started drawing them on himself with my fancy pens.
my girls do the same except they dont draw so well.... nessa has been askin for a nose ring for about a year now.... nope sorry gotta wait for that as well
That puts her at really young! The law around here is 16 with parent's consent. I have to say, I'd let my 16 year old get a tat. Although, he's only 8 now. I might not feel that way in 8 years!

she walks around with drawings on her legs and arms. i didn't think it was going anywhere, and last week she was musing about conversations she'd had about tats with her friends, designs she said she'd like. then today she lets it out that she was serious. it was half out of her mouth before she knew for sure i'm saying hell no.
but it really is a cool idea and if she decides to go through with it when she's 18, i will help her find a good artist. it's just six years. if i know her at all, she will still want to do it. she's stuck with everything that she's been into since she's like three.
