Hey ya'll what's up. I'm getting a belly pooch again and back fat again eeeeeeeep! just creeped up on me. past couple of months I've been so busy with work and my bookstore and my family and etc, haven't made the time to exercise or be mindful about what/how I'm eating. and It's been a while since I've been to the gym! and running, when I do run it's real short like just a 1/2 mile or quarter mile. So I need to get cracking again.

Today’s Health Goals:
30 minutes yoga
30 minutes brisk walking
1 mile run
Drink 120 oz water
One serving meals, no seconds
Raw veggies or air-popped popcorn for snacks
Fruit for dessert
Brush & floss after every meal
Today’s weigh-in: 164 pounds
Goal Weight: 130 pounds

let's be exercise buddies, start posting what we do again! I found it really helped me in the past. What have you been up to, what's going on with you? will start posting to my fitness blog again too: http://supplemama.com

awesome post!

Reminds me of the Fit Mama posts Lucky Violet used to do! I've been thinking about my own fitness goals since you posted this and I think I'm ready to commit to treating my body well again. I've been neglecting it for way too long and I deserve better, so here goes:

My new fitness goals, beginning today:
-An hour on the elliptical 3 days a week to start, then up to 5 days a week
-20 minutes of yoga daily, more if I have the time.
-more fresh fruits and veggies
-no more binging on junk food at night out of boredom
-80 oz of water a day. No more diet soda to get me through the day at work!!
-healthy snacks throughout the day to keep me full so I don't pig out at meals. Carrots and hummous, low fat yogurt and granola, and fruit will be my new go-tos
-i'll cook more and prepare more food from scratch, which will save me money and also mean I'm not getting tons of extra sodium and preservatives. It takes more work at the end of a long day at work but it's well worth it. I can get DD involved and have her help me, because she loves cooking. (She's three and her favorite channel is the food network!)
-NO high fructosde corn syrup, ever, in anything I eat. I'll cut back on sugar in general, but I need to stop making exceptions about HFCS. It's disgusting and terrible for my body and I just don't need it.

Current weight: 190
Target Weight: 150

Can't wait to check back in with you, thanks for starting this!

you're welcome

your action plan sounds great! I'm excited to get back into fitness, I love it so much. exercise just makes you feel good, you know? One of my facebook friends, also a hipmama from way back, is going to be my yoga buddy, yay! so I have accountability in two places now, which is a BIG help. Smile

so yesterday

I drank a wee bit too much at a party, but stayed in my calories food-wise. still, I'm running an extra mile today and drinking lots of water because alcohol has been known to dehydrate me and bloat me up, yuck. good news, I lost 3 pounds since Monday! going low salt is the key for me, for sure. That and running. I feel I am losing both excess water and actual fat.

30 minutes yoga
30 minutes brisk walking
2 mile run
Drink 120 oz water
One serving low salt meals, no seconds
Raw veggies and/or air-popped popcorn for snacks
Fruit for dessert
Brush & floss after every meal
Today’s weigh-in: 161 pounds
Goal Weight: 130 pounds

Going to gym today!

I'm headed to the gym for a bit with earthman. I'm going to hit the True Strider, it's an elliptical-type machine but burns more calories than the regular elliptical. My goal is 720 calories. on the true strider I can hit that in 40 minutes! Did my yoga this morning and will do my brisk walk this evening after dinner. My belly pooch is already shrinking!

30 minutes yoga
30 minutes brisk walking
40 minutes true strider machine
Drink 120 oz water
One serving low salt meals, no seconds
Raw veggies and/or air-popped popcorn for snacks
Fruit for dessert
Brush & floss after every meal
Today’s weigh-in: 160 pounds
Goal Weight: 130 pounds
