howdy

things are good. really good, actually. i have two papers to go until i am finished with this semester of grad school. the move was fairly smooth and we're settling into our big city quite well. i do miss the natural wilds of the island but i like my new teaching job better. i work at a small college teaching english to people between 3 and 70. many classes (27.5) but everyone is nice so i gain a lot from the experience. my eldest is a first grader at the local school and that has probably been one of our most major changes. my husband works p/t teaching at a high school and making decent wages so that helps. this summer i'm going to study japanese and work on my sewing skills. i discovered a five-storey fabric store behind my work so if anyone here is in need of cute japanese fabrics, let me know.
i'm still worried that i am not writing but i have decided to delay major work on that front until after i graduate.
so all in all, things are good.

how's it going for you?

she's 5 months now and has 2.5 teeth and is crawling and trying to pull herself up on everything. too soon, they grow up too soon.
