It is winter where I live which means it is freezing cold, wet, icy, all the ickness outside now. I really need to get back into taking a walk outdoors every day and I'm not counting the dash to the car LOL. I find the real sun exposure is quite helpful and also that trudging through the snow is quite a workout! much more intense than walking indoors on a treadmill. I see people running outdoors now too but I'm not quite so brave to run in winter...yet.
Today’s health/fitness goals:
30 minutes yoga
Walk 2 miles outside
80 oz. water
Raw veggies for snacks
Raw fruit for dessert
One serving meals, no seconds
No salt added to food
Brush & floss after every meal
Bedtime when sleepy, wake up 6am
Well I will post all by myself LOL!! we are in mid-winter, 'round my parts we have winter until March. I need to keep my workout full-strength so I don't get fat over winter...very easy to do around here. I went trudging around in the back yard and woods for a good half hour earlier. Later I'm going to do some walking to the TV with Leslie Sansone, I love her! She is so positive and cheerful :)

It's winter here too (Alaska) but it's really not that cold. It seems like it's been hovering in the 40s all winder. Not quite cold enough to snow but also not exactly warm.
I joined our community rec center this winter. I got a deal on it at 35/month so what I've been doing is running there (it's about a mile and a half) biking for about 20 min or so on the stationary bike (or however long I can stand...that gets a little boring), doing weights and lunges and then running back. The whole thing takes a little over an hour and I try and do it 2-3 times a week. I also swim with the master's swim team as often as I can get up there (1 or 2 times a week) and that's always a great 50 minute or so swimming workout with a coach.
I wasn't working out at all in the spring but used the winter vacation to get back into the swing of things and now I'm pretty much in a routine.
40 degrees is nice and warm for winter weather. It gets so cold here in NE Ohio that if it were 40 degrees now, people would be out in shorts I kid you not. Though we have been having a mild-ish winter also, it's only gotten down to the teens. Not under zero yet, cross your fingers! and we made it to February before we got hit with really bad snow.
I'm still keeping up my daily 2mile walk and running indoors...I have yet to run outside though. Running on the slick and icy streets, that one I just can't do.
Your swimming sounds fun, keep it up! and thanks for responding :)
