That was nice. I think there was a technical issue with it, but I can't remember what the result of the issue was (crashing? too much load on server? I do remember that it was never really accurate because the server only updated once an hour or so, if that). I wonder if it got fixed in the upgrade (or if that's when it broke? Stupid sinus infection has left me with teh dumb today...).

Hmmm. I don't know that we do google ads anymore? It used to be that subscribing would hide the google word ads from view (not the stuff from our sponsors). I just logged out and didn't see any google ads though -- anyone else?

Yeah, I know where it is, etc. Assuming you aren't subscribed, are you seeing google ads anywhere? The side barred blog ads were never part of what would go away upon subscription.
Figuring out how to set it up so that we can do the subscription thing is something I'll talk over with Bee & I'll get around to hiding the block with the subscription thing in a bit here. :)

I know HM is g**gle searchable but with separating the blogs from the forums would there be a way to keep the forums more private (and not searchable) while the blogs remain more public? It might help mamas to feel more open for conversation/safer to share.
of course it wouldn't be truly private but more private.
on blog comments, we don't seem to have the option anymore of choosing how to sort the view. it's fine if everyone's replying to the original post, but when they're replying to replies, it gets hard to follow.
and THANK YOU!
When I was your age, I was already trying to kill my second husband and make it look like bears did it. @MadameFilth books!
My overall goal is to create one area of the site that is private, and for the community only. I think this would help with ongoing personal security issues (exes stalking via posts, etc) and community development.
Wondering whether it would be better to make forums private, or blogs private? I can see reasons for each scenario.
In an ideal world I would probably make everything public, but give users a switch to turn their own blog private. I just haven't found that option in the software so far. Hoping that installing advanced (new) blog software will give us more options.
seeing who's online on every page, rather than just the home page.

I know you're in progress still, but the "subscribe to the site" option leads to "page not found".
I like that option though- is that new or have I not noticed it before?
