Before I start i just wanted to say that today i talked to my boss about how worried I am that they haven't found an appropriate substitute for me yet, and she said ¨But you're planning on having the baby late- right?¨. I shit you not.
Umm, what answer was she expecting for that? ¨Ummmm, ok, why don't you tell me what day works for you and i'll just put a cork up there until then.¨????
I know i shouldn't worry about it, but if they don't find a good sub they'll try to guilt me into doing the summer camp in July and I don't want to go back to work until next school year in September.
Right, so away from my work life and into my real life.
closed super curtain
This is the belly a week ago, at 31 weeks and the super curtains that I made to stop some serious drafts in my living room.

open super curtain
Same curtain, opened to let the sun in. This super curtain is backed with old upcycled blankets and has velcro at 3 edges so that it can be SEALED to the wall and really keep the drafts out even if it's seriously windy (the wall is covered in cork board so we staple gunned the male side of the velcro on the wall.
We also had two drafty little doors that don't seal when closed so I made curtains to cover them and an industrial door draft snake for the purple one.

And just because I'm a weekend warrior on the sewing machine I did these detail peices for the bathroom (notice the new bitchin' raspberry cream colour we mixed up for the wall)
toilet cloth caddy
(toilet cloth caddy)
bathroom ¨cabinet¨
This is our ¨bathroom cupboard¨ which was actually a walnut table with a long drawer that we attached near the bottom of the legs, now we're gonna put a thin board where the drawer was and some baskets in the top part. It's gonna be great!
And finally DH put up some special details in the kitchen.
kitchen details
Yeah, we put up drywall in LLuc's room too, but we haven't painted it yet so I'm not showing it off until it's pretty.
I'd rather be sewing baby stuff, but getting the house ready and cozy is also really important in terms of baby preparation.
I have to show off what I'm up to, or i'd drive you all crazy whining about how fucking sick I am of being pregnant at this point.

they're hella high

but it's a basement flat so it's totally neccesary in order to get the top of the windows up to 3 feet above ground level.
Thanks about the smile compliment. My dh always does crazy stuff to make me laugh while he's taking the photos.
