sicko sewing
I've been home sick with sinus congestion that my doctor was concerned could turn into an infection. In between neti pots and steam treatments I've managed to convert three t-shirts into two maternity tops and 4 more t-shirts into a knockoff baby buddha carrier.

This is the first maternity top that I made. The weird white spots were actually on the camera lense and not on the top itself (woops).

The second top uses the remaining part of the striped t-shirt to make a baby doll type top. It's a little more ¨maternity¨ than i would have liked, but I'm still really happy with it.

This is my baby buddha knockoff- thanx for posting photos of yours turtle. It got my gears a crankin', and though i think mine will stretch out of shape pretty fast- I'm hoping I'll be able to use it long enough to justify my 5 € investment.

And this is the bag that I made to carry my carrier in.

you might think it's "too" maternity now, but wait until january/february, dollface! you have *no idea* how freakishly large that bump is going to get!!
awesome stuff, mama, i'm glad to see you enjoying yourself and being crafty! love the carrier and case...i need a sewing machine so i can make kickass stuff like that. <3
you look super cute!!! I think your baby buddha is way cool! You & motorboy will be one rockin' duo with that carrier...

I love your designs! very creative mama!
you look so happy and adorable.
I love the first top. Sewing is a nice way to pass the time until baby comes. I wish I could sew. I should learn before my next pregnancy.
I have sewn in the past but seem to never get organized enough to do it now.

You can make some really kick ass stuff and save a lot of money (while simultaneously spending more money than you would have otherwise on a tremendous collection of fabrics that you'll never have time to use :
). But really, when i was in the states my mom got me a cheapo brother sewing machine (for like 50 bucks?) and it served me well for YEARS and dozens of menstrual pads so it doesn't have to be a huge investment to get a good return.
