Party this first one pretty much sums it up - i'm headed into college!

1. breakin' into college!

2. the dang cable was temporarily "interrupted" - instant, presto! the cable is back on! you have to laugh about this!!!

it was challeging - i need to be up and running at home, at all times! past: i hustled at the library for about a week, MAJOR freakin' B.O. issues going on in there! i sat next to two folks who were literally slicin' and dicin' onions in their pits! their armpits were just like the mini "bullet" choppers that you see on an infomercial! crazy train! this is why cable at home is necessary....

3. habitat is winding down and it's been extremely challenging - i'm still hustling for that $1,000 gift! i really want one! the positive: i've landed serveral $500 gifts on this campaign.

we met with marty the CEO last week in the call center. i made several suggestions on what could/should be changed in the future - he was cool and listened.

he was such a cool guy, but not a lot of muscle! when i'm the CEO of my own company, you better believe that i'll have muscle to back me up!

4. this scenario would work out much better:

*and check out the hot ladies, choregraphy and cute kids*

5. i'm thrilled to be going to film school - this is college! everything is lined up, i've made all the phone calls and i know where i'm going on tuesday morning - i'll get my financial aid check cut on wednesday. i'll purchase supplies and my hard drive. i'm going to drive this thing over the edge, if needed. i'm ready for the challenge, i've waited a long time for this.

6. this is my movie:

*happiness*

a picture of happiness

i made the decision to put an add in craigslist to make contact with the grafitti writers/artists and taggers that i want to meet. wish me luck!

7. northwest film forum is having a cool party next friday that i'll attend - it's the "local sitings" festival - they pay tribute and support local artists like me. it sounds like fun! film, drinks and schmoozing.

8. on saturday the seattle film institute is putting on a special 90 minute free class on 3-D animation film making. it sounds really cool, count me in! the catch is that afterwards, they're doing a tour of the school, which i've already toured like 2 times! chris and david will recongnize me, but who cares! i want a free film class!

9. i'm gearing up to look for a better night job, more hours, like 32 and better pay/benefits. wish me luck!

10. skye turned 19 yesterday! mars and i are taking him out to dinner tonight when he gets back from eastern washington. next week i'll take him to the premiere of the new drew barrymore film.

11. i realize that drew is a "legacy" but i'm really proud of her directoral debut. alot of folks want to direct but, few have the chops to do it - even if they're considered hollywood royalty. she did it! i suspect that leo dicap is next!

12. i missed you alot, did i tell you that!

13. i'm taking over the master bedroom in my apartment - skye moved all of things out, finally! my stuff is overflowing in my old room, i've grown out of it. it's time for change!

stay focused and positive,

love, christyX

slicin and dicing, that made

slicin and dicing, that made me laugh out loud about the pits at the library! i have a "slap chop" by the way, as seen on tv, and it does not work as easily as the guy w/ the NY accent on tv would make you think. oh well, it is fun to actually buy something off an infomercial for once in my life. that's the first and last time.

glad you are jazzed about school. me too! it feels good to be a student and passionate about a new path/career. that's when you know it's right. i was scared at first to change direction, but i'm feeling better now because i'm getting good grades and during class i'm engaged and excited. these are all good signs. Smile

sending you lots of encouragement always. enjoy your new room!!

slap and chop them pits baby!

Tongue holy bejesus!

1. it's great to hear your voice tonight! thank you for reading my silly words!

2. the pit situation in seattle needs some serious ground control from major tom! this shit has been rude this week! the library was awful - it was the kind of B.O. that makes your face wince! and neither of these folks were homeless - i mean it. both had more money in their pockets than i did, both just didn't give a damn!

natural is one thing, growing a burrito under your arm in the dark with homemade special sauce is unacceptable!

a hot pocket should never be used in place of deoderant!

god!

i think it's cool that you bought the slap n' chop - i like that infomerical - i think the quality of infomerical's have gotten a lot better - some of them are like mini-low budget films! good stuff!

i need the encouragement and support thank you! i agree with you - feeling interested and engaged is the best part, i almost think it's building upon the flames of desire - making it shine even brighter.

i know you're doing an amazing job - the passion is essential - this is where the drive comes from - without this, i think we are hardly even human.

a change in direction is challenging - i'm scared - a little nervous, but i feel like i have no choice - this career is blinding me, magnetizing me - it's so much more than i thought it would be, and everything i've ever wanted/wished for all rolled into one.

i feel grateful that i have this opportunity - but mostly, i'm grateful that i allowed myself to pursue any of it/all of it.

the allowing part was one step at a time, i think.

keep building, keep growing, you're creating your dream and living/following your life path!

oh sweet yogs!

Party seriously girl! it's high time for seattle to tackle this pit issue! you've got fools all upset over "plastic bags" - which no doubt harm the environment, in more ways than one.

BUT - armpits that stink, HARM EVERYONE, ALL THE TIME! i can't forgive someone for this - i don't mind a lover's sweaty pits after a few hours of play, but that's by choice dammit! and when we started up I KNOW they smelled nice and fresh!

i can understand kids, young adults, glands, boys, growing up, not knowing, etc.

but adults?! no way - we know when we stink! and grown men, have total control over their pits! women too!

ahhh - maybe i'm missing something here?! maybe people save money on butter when they can grow their own! "human butter" is the next white gold/cash money in this society?! what is happening here?

you made my night!

hearts baby!

dragon chic!!

this is so great! this made my day reading this, I am so proud of you and happy for you! YOU WILL ROCK at film school, your teachers will be like you are the one we have been waiting for!! How exciting, I am just thrilled for you. I knew it was coming but no so soon, I think I thought next month? you'd be starting film school. Wow!

Skye is a grown ass man, 19! girl when/where did we get these grown babies LOL. Christ! I loved being a young mom, though it was very hard now it is our time to make moves, you know? I bet your baby boy is very proud of you, as proud as you are of him for keeping on track of his goals and working things out.

good luck with the craigslist/graffiti meetup! maybe also try the used/indie bookstores in your area, they attract lots of undergroud/indie type folks. and flyers at coffee shops too.

I'm so out of it, I didn't even know drew barrymore directed a movie, I will have to check it out. she may be legacy but that girl had hard times growing up so I don't begrudge her a thing. She is like a regular person to me, you know?

and um, why you put that Breakin pic up?!? That was my inspriation movie back in the day. now I want to go on facebook and ask some of my high school peeps if they remember/have any pics of me trying to rap or breakdance back in the day LOL. I need to go to bed Smile

hello beautiful!

Party i'm still thinking of your recent post - i'm squeezing your hand sista! i love you girl, don't forget!

the poster! what fun, huh? i'm obessed with breakin', i normally pull out this cult classic for the kids every 4-6 months, after about 15 minutes i'm usually alone on my futon enjoying it! - both the kids are so burnt on the journey's of ozone!

i still think that it was all about turbo - he was a talented guy! i need to find out what happened to him!

*i'm almost 100% certain that he's not even searching for himself on line at 1:13 am!! how silly is this?!*.

i agree with you - this movie is totally inspirational! i love it!

thank you for reminding me to post stuff at local coffee shops! shit! why didn't i do this sooner?! EVERYWHERE i go, they've popped up- i kid you not, these guys in seattle like to leave things in obsure places, where most people don't look - you know how much i enjoy finding it!

ahhh the film school deal - can you believe it? i remember when it was just an idea of mine, something that i thought was cool to do, like it might give me a leg up - have a career! i'm laughing right now, because i'm completely shocked - it's here and a reality in just 24 hours!

thank you for believing in my dream - thank you for helping me - you're with me 110%. i need this.

drew is regular people - you're totally right about this - i love all of her work, i remember over ten years ago reading how she manifested/dreamed up her production company with her girlfriend nancy on a cross country road trip. it was literally brainstorming on the road, paper and pen and the idea behind it was to produce all the kinds of movies that she wanted to see created, things that interested and inspired her - real stories! movies that nobody cared about or wanted to take a chance on.

she's inspirational and always herself! a winning combo! her movie looks very unique and i like that it has a smaller release - she really gambled on this one, i remember when she was filming it last year.

i ended up taking skye and mars out to hana's, a sushi place up on broadway - it's a little pricy, but very good. i wanted to take him up to super buffet, an all you can eat asian restaurant - but he got in to late and it's located further out, on the northside.

we had fun and then we rented "next day air" - did you see this? i think you would really like it! the trailer really sucked for this film, i'm not sure what happened - it "dumbed" it down a lot, but in reality, the director benny boom did a fantastic job - this movie really shines.

i can tell that he's a tarantino fan, but honestly, he's even more talented and his style has more direction, it's edgier - he shoots very "clean" it's easy to watch and he likes to shoot the emotion character to character not just from their perspective, but literally from their "eyes". good stuff!

i know how much you enjoyed being a young mom - you took pride in this from the get go - i liked certain parts of it, but being a young mom was challenging for me - i still feel some of it running through my veins - i love skye, but i still feel some guilt - i'm dealing with it this round, in couseling - i want to give him a leg up - we all need one - my films are one way to do it.

thank you for saying that he was proud of me - he told me "congratulations" when it came down to me starting film school this week. it was nice to hear!

i love you - hearts and healing - christyX

loved donnie darko

Party good stuff baby!

her company has produced a lot of high quailty films over the past 14-15 years. good work!

i like her style - she's a risk taker, and she knows what works/what doesn't on the screen.

what a compliment!

thanks lady - you make my heart soar!

the turbo myspace made my week! thank you for finding this!

i need to friend him!

breakin' 3 would be crazy! what do you think? if they threw in some new characters and had turbo and ozone be "mentors" it just might work! i'm certainly nutty enough to take my kids to the midnight showing on opening night!

forever - love - christyxDC
