skype sucks- what's better?
I've been trying to video call my mom all night and we keep having these stilted conversations that have long time lags and keep collapsing. Anybody know which of the other free internet video call services works better? I need to talk to my mama.

ps. when you find something good would you mind posting it here? I'll be doing the same overseas chatting pretty soon and am trying to find something better than phone cards!

it isn't always perfect but it is usually because of us, not the program. we have two computers so when talking to someone, we have to make sure we turn off the other program. downloading anything while on skype is usually another way of creating a bad connection. good luck, i really don't know of anything better than skype. our kids use it constantly to talk to their grandparents, usually running around the room being fools and doing a thorough show and tell of anything new (mostly their insect collection).
