going to a show tonight!
f*ck, i am excited! i really can't even remember the last time i saw live music (it may have been bright eyes and feist the winter i got pregnant with??) but a friend is taking me to see TV On the Radio in boston tonight....AND a couple months back i used a little of my tax return to get tickets to the jenny lewis show in boston next week; i'm taking a friend on wednesday! two shows in a week, WOO! is it bad to say that i'm going to party it up for once and get reeeeally drunk tonight?!

And nah... not bad to say you're going to get really drunk - that's what shows are for. Especially when you hardly ever get to go.

Yay for shows! I saw Camera last week and had so much fun, and I have Neko Case tix for July.
I bet so many shows come to Boston I would go broke trying to see all the bands that come through. I absolutely love seeing live music.

I also wanted to comment on the Phelps post, but I haven't had time to watch the whole thing, and it really freaks me out because although these people are midwest, there are people that say that kind of stuff here in TN (shocker). My parents live near this church that has a marquee, and every time I would drive to my parents there was a new message of hate posted up there. I really truly don't get the hate part. I have no issue with someone disagreeing or whatever, but to take it to hate just makes no sense--
it was an amazing show, i can't even explain how great they were....and we went out to eat beforehand and got empanadas and frozen sangria, so all in all it was a fanfuckingtastic night.

i don't know why i don't see more shows! oh yeah, it's because i'm broke and hardly ever have a sitter. heh.
i get the phoenix every week, which is boston's weekly "alternative" newspaper, and daydream about seeing all the kickass shows that are listed. i'd love to take noa to see something good soon...they might be giants are gonna be around soon, and although i'm not super into them i've heard that their shows are perfect for kids. she would absolutely LOVE it...
ps- the phelps clan....{shiver}. totally creepy.
