i'm in the living room; our rats are wide awake and running around in their little habitat in the kitchen, and right off the kitchen is our only bedroom where monkeygirl is sleeping soundly (for now)

Three. I'm sure i could find time for more but i don't bother; i know that's probably gross, but it's good enough for me.

We saw "Up" in 3-d tonight; it was pretty good, although not at all what i expected.
7. Where do you go on vacation?
wherever someone is paying for us to go. i'm not trying to be a douche; we just can't afford vacations unless someone (*my grandparents, mostly) invites us and pays for our expenses. my idea of being "financially independent" includes affording day-to-day living expenses plus travelling occasionally. we're not there yet.

i turned 29 in march

nope. i mess around with my friends' but they freak me out; the tiny touch screen keyboard is overwhelming.

HA! it's been raining for like 4 days straight but at the moment, it's not. {fingers crossed for a sunny day tomorrow}

this very minute? i'm eating a monster piece of bomb assed sushi, contemplating my friend lisa's move, my angel audrey's love life and i'm

i shower daily.

ohh, so many to choose from! "lovely and amazing" - and "donkey punch". both were excellent.

my personal pic? a nice sandy beach somewhere far away, clear blue water, the works.

I've been lurking. I swear, I don't really have anything interesting enough to write an actual blog post about, it would look like this: whine whine whine. Repeat about 11 billion times. So.....I'm so happy you did a survey.

Not sleeping.

Nothing. Next to me is a very dark dining room.

I think it was called Adventureland. (they have these matinees on Tuesdays that are for families with babies at a local movie theatre, they turn sound down and leave lights up- it's nice and T. will sleep through most of movie) Amusing and oddly deep in a kind of sneak up on you way.

Mount Desert Island, Maine.

Just got back from a Zumba class and am cooling off, checking the computer.

Lake Michigan. It's about an hour and a half from my house so it's the perfect place for us.

It's a class offered at my Y and basically it's a Latin dance class with a lot of cardio involved. I really enjoy it and it's not a boring workout. I go 3-5 times a week now.

My Sat. morning routine...I usually wake up before the kids and catch up on my internet time with a cup of coffee.

My SO is reading the paper and the dog is busy stealing shoes.

Usually FL with my family, this year for the first time we are trying a cabin in Big Sur. It's a big deal because I feel like it is kind of my first real vacation since I've had kids.

Running the dishwasher and dryer, curlers in hair (instead of washing for work) coffee, cruising for a couple yard sales before I work. Honey and 4 kids still in bed--this is worth getting up early for.

A little dish I call Caribbean stew. It's got lamb, chicken, parsley, tomato, onion garlic, squash, chickpeas and spices in it.

We're headed to P.E.I. (Prince Edward Island on the east coast of Canada). It's a veeery long drive but beachy.

Nope, but the sky is about to fall and my kids want to get their bathing suits on to run in the approaching storm but the word is it's a lighting storm and in the interest of them not getting fried they will be watching from the porch.
Prince Edward Island, I want to go there!!! I loved the show "Avonlea" when I was kid and ever since I've always wanted to visit PEI. Have fun!
My Aunt and Uncle (who live in Ontario) bought a super cheap fixer upper house minutes from the beach and turned it into a family cottage that they stay at every summer. All of their family is invited to come and visit and we've been twice so far--once on our honeymoon (with Callum and Devon ) and then again two years ago with our slightly bigger family of five. It's great to walk the beach as the tide goes out and poke at jellyfish, pick up starfish and watch the hermit crabs battle...

5. How many times a week are you lucky enough to find time for a shower?
At least every other day, my head gets waaaayyyy too greasy to go any longer without one.
6. What was the last movie you watched and was it good?
"Pretty Poison", a horrifically typical Lifetime movie. And it did not disappoint. I'm such a sucker for those things.
But the last real movie I watched was "The Orphanage", it was quite good. Very sad and haunting, I find myself thinking about one particular scene over and over, and it just makes my heart ache.
7. Where do you go on vacation?
Well, I don't see us going on any vacations anytime soon, but one of our favorite places is the mountains, Gatlinburg, TN. It's so over the top cheesy and touristy, but we used to go there almost every year when I was a kid. And my DH and I have gone a couple of times, and it's just gorgeous in the national park there. And it's quite affordable, which never hurts. Now that we live near gorgeous beaches again we'll just be hanging out there a lot to feel like we're on vacation!

Last full movie was Zach and Miri Make a Porno. I liked it, but was surprised at how popular it is considering the subject matter. Really!

Nowhere--I don't consider vacation going to visit family. But this year, I did go to CT for my best friend's (same-sex) wedding, and it was so, so good! Definitely a vacation, for me. H stayed with my parents in IA.

Oh, hell no. I probably will in five years, when they're not cool anymore. I have a Razr now. They used to be cool, right?

No. It is absofuckinglutely gorgeous outside. What am I doing in here? Maybe I'll go mow my jungle of a back yard and contemplate how to safely, responsibly, realistically get rid of the THOUSANDS of dandelions that are there. My weed fork and I can only do about 2 square feet per hour, and then there's grass re-planting to do. *sigh* I don't mind the clover and other stuff back there, but the burdock and the dandelions have GOT to GO.
