are you doing anything special for earth day?
i stopped by the library tonight to try to find out what's going on wednesday in our community and learned two things: the librarians there are kind of bitches, and apparently my town doesn't celebrate teh earth day. so my alternate plans are to head to the park bright and early that morning to do some cleanup with noa, and then to come home and do some planting in the yard of our building. then that evening my neighbors are taking us to the opening of disney's "earth" at the imax theater...i know that noa will *love* it, so i think it'll be pretty kickass time.
so how about you, mamas? are your communities doing anything special? do you have plans to celebrate with your families?

So we will be celebrating the birth of her on earth day. She always tells everyone how she was born on earth day and how cool it was. Our town did a huge earth day celebration this weekend where there is a procession of the species parade and people are encouraged to dress up as animals and plants. Then they form a huge parade and walk all downtown. So much fun. I think there were hundred this year. I will be for sure getting some fun plants to plant and dig around in the earth for a while!
I make Earth Day everyday! Don't you? What? Huh?
I have a speech to give tomorrow, so in honor of Earth Day I'm going to talk about the budget cuts on our bus system. When people don't take the bus it puts more cars on our road, which makes it hard for mama to breath! Bleh!
Oh, and we're planting some carrots.

thanks for the reminder.
I have a job interview on earth-day, mostly it's just a formality to work out my schedule for the next 16 weeks so I was so focused on that, everything else blurred together.
I will rake the yard up a bit and start some seeds with my almost 2 year old little one....
Earth day is everyday really for a lot of us anyway.
I cycle a lot, have a good bike rack with panniers, and bring my little one along in the chariot just to get around, pick up groceries...and we walk a lot too.
