Psyching myself up
Well Mamas,
it's off for the first court date in Custody:Phase 2 tomorrow. It's just a quick thing in front of a clerk or something to set a date for something else. But I still feel like I'm going to puke. I hate the fact that the future and life of my child is in the hands of people that don't know him, myself OR BD. And I know I am preparing myself to listen to an onslaught of lies.
Can anyone explain to me why for some reason men who have never been involved in a childs day to day life still somehow have rights? Just because we had sex? Ugh.
Anyways, I'm gearing up for this. Meditation and visualization. Sexy new 4 inch heels. nice, new respectable clothes that say "I'm a respectable woman and mother/screw you BD, check out how good I look
Muah!". A little retail therapy never hurt anyone, plus I've been saving up to buy a some new clothes.
I am feeling like Ms. SuperFrump lately. Everything I own is at least five years old and at least 2 sizes too big. I am tired of this. I can actually see through my tshirts when I pull them over my head, they have been washed so many times. And everything that was once black is now gray.
But anyways, in gearing up for this...I look to you mamas for help : What is YOUR power song(
? What song(
can you put on that make you feel like you can conquer the world? That make you feel like a super sexy mama? That make you boogie til you can't boogie no more?! (also, what are your Power Up excercise songs? I am thinking of getting a cheap-o mp3 player and starting to jog now that nice weather is here)
Hawksley Workman - Striptease (not only do I LOOOOVE this song, but I lust after that man!)
Elton John - the Bitch is Back
Elton John - I'm Still Standing
thanks, Mamas!

In the Air Tonight, by Phil Collins. Seriously. I love the drumbreak.
"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."
George W. Bush
by Peaches.
and, of course, "I will survive".
I am what I am

We will rock you
We are the champions
I'm a woman in love
I'm still standing
These boots are made for walking
