Tonight I breastfed while cooking dinner

I thought Juniper would be satisfied with dh for a bit, and he really wants to do the comforting along with me. But tonight she wasn't having it. So I put her on the boob and stood at the stove finishing dinner. Which was from the depression era you tube video that someone posted yesterday. What have you done while breastfeeding?

everything that I do,

except drive.
Make food, make drinks, walk, talk, clean, sit, stand, sleep, yell, bathe, walk the dog, cry, laugh, eat food, garden, hike, have sex (which I am sure is a total no-no, but that baby was small and we were mostly asleep, my husband woke me up, my husband didn't know and I couldn't really tell him without waking up the baby. It wasn't ideal, I can tell you that. And no, I don't think my son was harmed by this somehow. I was a little weirded out, my husband still doesn't know. I am not sure he was even really awake at the time.) Shopping at the grocery store and department stores. Pee, poop. Oh, I guess I never showered and nursed. There's something. I swear that kid nursed more often than not for his whole first year.

You missed the bath. That's a favorite snack time.

I haven't had sex while

I haven't had sex while nursing (I think it's funny that you never told your husband!), but showering and nursing has been fairly common in our house. I remember my husband poking his head in the shower to see if Nolen was ready to come out yet, and found me shaving my legs while nursing- I had bent over to get my ankle and Nolen couldn't resist. And last week I discovered breastfeeding while my and Nolen's seatbelts were buckled in the plane and I was knitting. And my husband can't even read the paper and have a conversation at the same time!

i have

done the plane, but while reading. I have done a lot of knitting and nursing, writing, typing, taking pictures. Nursing is the perfect thing, really, because you can multitask, or not.

I think I have done

I think I have done everything while breastfeeding!!! I know I haven't taken a shit alone in about 4 years. One time I was nursing Joseph and reading Maggie a book while sitting on the pot. Baby #3 is only gonna make it better. At least our bathrooms are bigger now!

nothing

I am amazed at all this multi-tasking ya'll have done, all I could do was just sit there/lay there. Sometimes I'd sing to S-bop (he was 3 when T-bop was born) or read him a story if he was real persistent for my attention.

Jeopardy audition!

A few years ago when I was b/f, Jeopardy had their big online auditions for contestant. I had always thought I'd do well but....the online test was scheduled at a very precise time and my son was attached to the boobage right then and, well, I didn't make it on the show. I found it a bit hard to think, type, and click all at the same time (he was only about 2 months old). I got better at multitasking though! Cooking, bathing, typing, reading (oh how I miss the time for books), curling my hair and applying makeup- all while b/f. I used to be hooked up to the breastpump on my long commute to work too. Very afraid I'd be cited for indecent exposure or driving while pumping or some other crap!

walked off a plane,

walked off a plane, showered, bathed, peed, rode in the backseat of a car (rear facing infant in center, me leaning forward and slightly up, it totally worked), standard stuff like been in a restaurant or other public place, yes stirred something on the stove...

plane, restaurant, and the

plane, restaurant, and the usual places but most interesting was when i stood in the tunnel under niagra falls with DD strapped to me in her sling nursing for a good while! i was wearing one of those obnoxious yellow raincoats and had cut a hole in the front for her to poke out of for air.

fun question!

in the car leaned over the car seat, in the shower, in bed, on the couch, while cooking, standing in line at grocery store, talking on the phone, any time i'm naked and bend over in front of one of my nurslings, while taking a bath, in our back yard, in the airport, at my in-laws, in restaurants, at several friend's homes, in front of starbucks while having coffee with seven of my non-parent friends, while reading, while writing, on the computer, at the book store while walking around looking at books. i'm sure there is more but that's off the top of my head. pretty much everywhere. My

pretty much everywhere. My favorite trick was car seat nursing with my stretchy boobs. I could sit in the seat beside the car seat and just hand over my boob to the baby. When we drove to PEI from Ontario Devon nursed (in a front facing toddle seat) sores onto my breasts he nursed so much-- done with all of our various seat belts and restraints in place.
