I didn't think I would be in the room. But I make him come with me everytime, so I thought I should be there. He passed out with the initial shot of numbing stuff, but for like 5 seconds. He wants me to say not because of the pain, but from the thought of a needle near him. Start to finish it was 45 mintues. And really it was very fascinating watching the doctor do the snip. I was so excited when we left. Yipee! NO more birth control for the rest of my life!! Woot woot! He is fine, laying in bed drinking a beer, and watching a movie. He is kind of sore, but I wouldn't say that bad. It is kind of funny watching him walk like we do when we give birth.

YAY! DH got this done about

YAY! DH got this done about a year ago maybe and we so love not having to worry anymore. He was cool to do this! It's soooo much less of a deal than for a woman to have a procedure. DH totally walked out of the Dr.'s office and was only down for 2 days. Horray for no birth control! GREAT! BUT...

..that's really great...but I just wanted to be sure you knew that you're still going to have to use some form of BC for AT LEAST 3 MONTHS..or even longer, until he gets a negative sperm count. you do know this, right? the neg sperm count is really important..b/c sometimes they can have active swimmers for up to 6 months following a vas. good luck!!
