I found this a few weeks ago:

It's very easy and I've made it a couple different ways depending on what I had in the house. Using sunflower seeds to make up for half the oatmeal, using dried cranberries, etc.
Would could I use instead of wheat germ? I want to make these but don't have any. Any ideas?
sunflower seeds
more oats or more flour...
make your solids or grains about the same amount to your mushy to your liquids. I think the eggs and oil are pretty essential as leavening and softening agents. But dried fruit or chocolate to grain is pretty much open to interpretation.
Okay, I made these tonight, and I think they're really yummy! I used crushed wheat chex instead of wheat germ. And I also used mostly applesauce and a tad of oil, instead of all oil. Didn't have nuts on hand, so I used some choc chips. And I added a few spoonfuls of p-nut butter. Really good, nice and chewy.
easy and he replaces raisons with choc chips and walnuts with peanuts
Mummy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird...
