Three die in Belgian crèche (daycare) stabbing

A man in Belgium has stabbed to death two babies and one adult at a crèche in a village near Brussels. Ten toddlers are thought to have been injured, some critically. Several carers who tried to protect the children were also wounded. Local media say the man is a 28-year-old psychiatric patient at a nearby clinic. The man, who had his face painted black and white, was allowed to enter the building after ringing the bell. He escaped on a bicycle but was soon apprehended. He was injured during the arrest and has been taken to hospital. Eighteen children and six adults were inside the building at the time of the attack.
