Haven't been around in a while...plus a little boy penis question

Hiya, y'all. I haven't been around in a while at all. School has kept me insanely busy, but I love it as I've finally decided where I'm going with it, major-wise and maybe even career-wise. I'm not sure, but I think the last time I posted my husband and I were separated, but now we are back together, working through as best we can. Also, we now co-own a used bookstore together! Love, love, love it more than anything else I've ever done, but it consumes our lives almost entirely (we run everything related to the store, and the other, older couple runs the online amazon stuff). So, there's my excuses for why I haven't been around. However, I love the HM community and have so missed being a part of it.

Had a quick question I wanted to run by y'all, though, while I had a free minute. My son, who just turned 5 a couple of months ago, has been complaining for the past couple of weeks about his penis hurting. I hadn't been that worried about it, since it was pretty sporatic and I thought it was probably just due to the occasional erection. But he's been complaining much more about it today and I'm getting worried now. He says it doesn't hurt when he pees or anything, just seems to come on randomly. I was planning on checking with the doctor tomorrow, but wanted to see if any parents of little boys have dealt with this and what I should expect.

Thanks in advance...Hope all of you are wonderful and well!

When my boy was 2 & 3

he complained of this for a while. My husband said it was probably due to the discomfort of erections. I took him to a urologist just in case though. They didn't find anything wrong and soon after, he said he was fine and that it didn't hurt anymore...

dude,

sometimes i am *so glad* to have a daughter! i think i forget most of the time what it would even be like to have to deal with penis problems! it must be tough to try to comfort a little boy about something you're feeling kind of "????" about, right?!

It's becoming more and more

It's becoming more and more troublesome as he (and it) gets bigger. Lots of questions that I don't have answers to. My husband kind of weirds out about talking about it too much with him, so a lot of times I feel like I'm at a loss. Penises are weird.

When my son was about that age, and then again

a couple years later he had some drops of blood come out with his pee. He didn't complain about pain, but he has a pretty high tolerance level anyway. I kept taking him in, freaking out, but the verdict was that it was 'growing pains' as some parts grew and some were getting stretched out...? Weird I thought, but considered totally normal and fine. I don't know if this is what your boy has, but just a reassurance that it's probably nothing.

Congratulations!!!

on the bookstore, that is awesome! I'm so happy for you, I have a used bookstore too and it is a lot of work. but something I (((Love)))Smile

about your son, he may just not be washing thoroughly. he might have a mild infection. advise him on washing with a washcloth. ask him to describe the pain in as much detail as possible i.e is it an itchy sore feeling (tell-tale in boys for not washing their business) a stinging feeling, is it an achy feeling, is it a sore feeling, is it a sharp feeling, etc. I'd definitely take him to a doc to be sure though.

Congratulations on YOUR

Congratulations on YOUR bookstore! It IS a lot of work, but so good for our family in the long run, I think, and I love being around so many things I love all at once. (How great is it to be your own boss?!)

Hi!

Penis-wise, I don't know, but congratulations on your bookstore and yay about being with DH!

Today my bean was looking at his penis in the bath and started to pee and peed in his own face. So glad I was there to see that. We laughed together for like 5 minutes.
