i agree - thank you for blogging about this - once upon a time i thought that i would grow up and issues like petty people, their self-imposed anxiety, misjudgements, etc. would end. unfortunately, we can still run into these types.
my counsleor sharene has repeatedly said that if all people just took care of themselves, as best as they could, period. we would be fine.
these types of people fall into this category.

I am constantly amazed at all the people who have an apparently endless capacity of time, energy, and worry about how I run my life, assuming all sorts of things about me, etc. Who has the time!!! have mercy, you do you and I'll do me, mind ya own beeswax. Sometimes I tell people that and they get all offended, but dang!

"mind ya own beeswax" - I love that! Have to keep it in mind. Here I would say (if I dare to be "rude") "Faß mich an die Füße" (grab me at my feet) which comes from low-saxon "Klei mi an de Fööt" which comes from "Klei mi an'n Mors" (grab me at my ass) which is just low-saxon for "Leck mich am Arsch" (kiss my ass). But as a matter of fact I am lucky thereis only my mother who sometimes gives her opinion on my doings (when it comes to my children). And she has become more careful and catious I noticed. I even had to be that "rude"
