I'm going soon too...

My state's not a lost cause but my county traditionally is...we'll see what happens this time around!

this morning has been amazing!

I'm about to take Margot to vote. Our polling place is a block away. While walking my oldest to preschool today, all of us pedestrians greeted each other with smiles and "did you vote yet!?" and expressed our huge levels of excitement. We live in center city, which is Obamaland. The smiles and optimism here are overwhelming. We are going to keep PA blue, for sure!

i am counting on you all to do it!! haha. how cool is your town? that must feel so good. i am adrift on a sea of republicans here in texas, not in my personal circle of course, but as i drive through my neighborhood, and see the signs..ugh. kind of hard to dare hope.

I voted Friday

But now I wish I'd waited just so I could go see the excitement at the polls today!

yeah

dh just got back from the town hall and said it wasn't busy, but the fun part were the two-dozen seniors staffing the polls. He said he had to yell his name at least six times and spell it several more, and then they had some funny system where he gave his name to the row of woman at the front door and one of them had to shout the name across the room over to another row of women who had to look his name up on the list and then check it off and yell back that she had in fact done this and THEN they let him in to vote. He said all the over-staffed, hard-of-hearing volunteers yelling in a practically empty room was pretty comical!

I voted at 6AM!

Living on Arizona is interesting right now, McCain is voting just a few miles from my house in a few minutes. There is a chance that AZ may go blue this time around! I have hope for that and it is the main reason I hauled my butt out of bed this morning.

fingers crossed!

my sister lives in scottsdale, but they are jewish, and liberal, and sarah silverman said it best in the great schlep...about jews being left-wing-y, civil right-sy types? haha. but she said she has been feeling more hopeful too, even outside of their community

I'm waiting until after 9 when the before work crowd thins. Hoping for a short line or nice people who will let the big pregnant lady go first.
