My son broke his arm
on the same day that his bike was stolen, which was Monday. Today my son, Ocean, or Oe as we call him sometimes, had a big red cast running from arm pit to thumb put on his arm. He had a complete break right above the elbow. Also, today at the local skate/bike park an older kid had the nerve to show up on my kid's bike. I say nerve, because it's well known in our neighborhood that all the boys at our house are bmx'ers, and ride the park on the regular. The bikes the kids took were bmx bikes! So DP was all over it, and got his bike back. So that was two bikes stolen, 2 bikes recovered, and one broken arm.
broken arm means no swimming lessons, no guitar lessons, no soccer, and no bmx'ing for a little while anyway.

That sucks about Oe's arm. I hope he heals up fast!
DP rocks, getting the bike back!!!
I hope he feels better soon. I know how you feel, between my two boys there has been a broken thumb, fractured wrist, dislocated arm, cracked heads requiring ER visits and several sprained ankles.
and they actually think I'm 'over-reacting' when I tell them to be careful! when they are biking/skateboarding/jumping out of trees/etc.

i hope he's feeling better soon, and i hope he's not too disheartened by his bike being stolen. grrrr, stealing makes me freaking FURIOUS....it's just such a nasty thing to do.
he feels alot better soon. I have broken a few bones as a kid and it always sucked. Kudos on getting the bike back though
! I agree I can't stand theft!

Yeah, DP went up to the kid and said
"hey, nice bike"
and the kid said "yeah, I know."
to which DP replied "yeah it's my step son's, get the hell off it."
and the kid did.
