5 Non Grats: my official suck list for Monday...
Here's what bites for me this week. What sucks for you? It feels good to write it down and wish it all better...
*SO is currently unemployed as the company he was working for finally went all the way bankrupt. It was not unanticipated, and we are not yet suffering financially, but it still sucks ass.
*My dad just had his left leg amputated below the knee due to diabetes complications. Again, forseen, but not enjoyable.
*My kid's Grandma (ex-MIL) is officially dying of her long bout of cancer. As in they've already done last rites and she's in hospice waiting to die. This bites for the girls' sake and also because she was the most reasonable and pleasant member of that whole family and I could sort of count on her to watch out for my kids no matter what.
*Having to use half-days of my vacation time to watch my girls due to a two-week gap between summer camp and school and both sets of grandparents now deeply indisposed (see above.)
*Finally navigating the perilous waters of the state disability system for Maggie's autism, but this means lots of digging up or replacing SSN cards, birth certificates (lost in the house fire and not needed since) and filling out of paperwork.

Ugh. I just went and got a packet to fill out for dshs too. I didn't know that we could get services through them; I thought you had to income qualify and we wouldn't. Still it's a hassle though, with DS's name change and what-not.

Thanks. Yeah, I guess for therapies and programs, etc. you can get funding income regardless. Plus it's good to have services started in childhood as it makes them easier to get in adulthood.
