Hey --
I want to get some movie soundtracks. What do you like? I love the soundtrack to Juno and Almost Famous and I'm trying to think of more, but I'm bogged down right now. Anyway, they are easy to put on hold at the library, so I'd like to get some more...

Suggestions?

Once

Oh I cry every time I hear the music to O
Once. Awww. And Say Anything. DH proposed with a boombox over his head, with In Your Eyes on it. Standing outside my work though because I would've wondered where he was going late at night and then I would've never let him out of the house. Anyways, boombox, long coat, he let it play out to the end just like John Cusak, then got on one knee and let it out. The single most romantic thing that has ever happened to me. Now I can't hear that song with hugging and kissing him. I also love the soundtrack to Triplets of Bellville.

That's so sweet! In some way I have always considered that scene to be sooooo romantic. I think a lot of people feel that way about it- I dunno if it's that I saw it at just the right time in my development as a person - if every generation has a movie scene like that. Or if it was really just that special. But I love that movie, gives me warm squishy romantic feeling every time I see it. Sigh. Really sweet that your husband did that.

Here's a few

The Last of the Mohicans
Rushmore
Everything is Illuminated (love that funky ukranian stuff)
The Royal Tennenbaums
The life aquatic (just for the funniness)
Kids (although i don't think any of the soundtrack songs were actually in the film)
And i know it's not a movie, but i love the first two grey's anatomy soundtracks.
