hi ladies, are you having fun today? doing something you like to do? i hope that you have what you want, what you need and all the in betweens. you deserve this! 1. can you believe that at 9 pm last night ups rang our bell? i thought that it was for skye, no dice. inside a medium sized box was a perfectly packed/stacked bunch of smoked sausages! i do all the weird consumer research studies, this was one of them. 2. today was challenging - i'm working on my finances and getting shit straight. i'm a single mom, doing the best that i can. here i go! 3. cutting myself slack this very minute. i'm one person, and sometimes it feels like i need to be an army. my past lives make sense! i continue to look cute and plow forward. 4. cartoon tights - i picked up two pairs today. i was plumb out of black tights, can you believe it?!! not cool, i wore my last tore up pair yesterday. i splurged and picked up this cool, romantic cartoon pair at macy's. i'd had my eye on them for months. this was nice. 5. i get a text from one of my best friends to email a manager, she's out. i do it. i always will. i appreciate when my friends do this for me, i don't take advantage of it, but sometimes it's necessary. cover your co-workers! ALWAYS! it's the right thing to do! 6. a message to the Universe: i talk to you everyday, maybe more than most people? i know that you're on my side, i'm learning how to work for you, with you, i'm picking up pace! thank you for thinking about me! 7. kids are home, and it's a john waters night! 8. i'm loosing patience on the bladerunner thing. i did my soul work last night and reached out to my soul mate. it was nice! he's a cute soul, and likes to dance! now: show up fucker! 9. tater tots saved my life! 10. i woke up early and busted a yoga move! 2Xgym and 2Xyoga sessions a week are nice! 11. paula - thank you for hanging in there with me. i know that you've read some of these hipmama blogs, and i hope you've enjoyed them. hearts and cosmic fluffer nutter sandwiches, dc is just a dragon! dragon chic's blog | login or register to post comments | email this page | printer friendly version

Holy shit! A box of sausage at your door! How symbolic is that? The guy might as well have said "I've got hot beef weeners for Dragon Chic". You can't make this up! Finances are good -- keep thinking of it like any other chore -- just cleaning the toilet/doing the dishes/balancing the checkbook -- it will get done (for you, that is -- I can't somehow keep it together to clean the toilet or do the dishes on a regular, which means I might just be screwed! Or that I need to come up with some other advice for myself!) cartoon tights are awesome!! and so is john waters! it always makes me smile! sometimes i get the "damage control" line, too! funny, huh?! we're an army of love! we can do anything that we want too! i love you k! you would love the tights, i wore them today! The GD universe is giving me some grief. Miscommunication is not a fun thing! tater tots are so underrated! i love them! somedays they literally make me smile! i think to myself at work: i'm going to make tater tots tonight! and when i follow through with it, it makes me feel good! (that's not even being dramatic about it, i swear, it just is!). the universe loves us, i swear. i agree - miscommunication is horrible. i do my best to avoid this at all costs, but i tell you what: sometimes you can't avoid it, you just gotta roll with it. in all of my channeling & reading about the universe/forces, it basically breaks down two things: intention & will. and then there's the third thing - the lessons our personality selves need to learn. it seems harsh sometimes but i know deep down inside that it's fair! on a bad day, i get pissy about it. but even in the middle of a dark cloud, i know that it's still possible for something good to come out of a sad or hard situation. i'll join you for dinner one of these days! thank you for always keeping your heart, mind, soul, spirit and door open! hearts of goodness, dc a fire breathing/green scaled mistress production! I just made curtains for DS's new big-boy room and they have little kids dressed as pirates on them. It took a little math, but pretty basic stuff, so it wasn't mind bending. I wanted to do them right, so I took some time with them. I take my time with all of the stuff I make though... I just like it to be pretty and neat. I figure if its not something I would be proud to have then it isn't worth making for someone else. Um... I've sewn off and on for a few years, but didn't really learn how to sew well until after ds was born. I started seeing things around and thinking, I can do that, or I would want something and not be able to find it so I said f-it and made it myself (like my current tote bag with skulls, a billion pockets, six-shooter snaps, and an insulated pouch for sippy cups). I made a lot of x-mas presents this past year, like coordinating oven mits and dish-towel sets, i even made a blanket for my brother in law that looks like a nintendo power pad. I've done a couple craft shows and have gobs of stuff that hasn't sold yet (zippy pouches, id cases, tissue pockets, diaper holders out the wazoo) i want to get it all up on etsy but I don't have decent pics. i need to make a light box this weekend. I'm totally doing it! just talking about it now has made me want to get off my lazy butt and go. you're the best dc, thanks for listening |
Wifemotherslave's tatertot casserole
Ingredients
1 lb hamburger or faux ground beef crumbles
1 small-medium onion finely diced
1 clove minced garlic
1oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb fresh cut and steamed green beans
1 bag tater tots
1 can golden mushroom soup (campbells)
1 can milk
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Instructions
Cook hamburger,garlic and onions till done.
Put into baking dish.
Put green beans over hamburger.
Mix milk and soup and pour over green bean layer.
Put tots over that,
sprinkle cheese over tots.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 45min or until tots are cooked.
