why is work so lame? Why do people get their panties in such a wad over lame stuff? The newest goes something like this: And I sure as hell do not miss office drama. Kind of like caged animals on insufficient prozac.
"Kind of like caged animals on insufficient prozac." you hit the thumbtack on the head, my dear, and left a sticky note saying "sign here" next to it. and they feel like they're on a pointless treadmill, so why be supportive/nice/helpful/respectful/your best self in that space? And then the people who don't think like that get lip/hassle from those that do and voila everybody's seeming like a dick. I'm sorry you're going through that. Try not to let their lameness get into your head. Do your own best and forget the rest. Easier said than done. This too shall pass. ***the United States is one of only four out of 168 countries studied to not have some form of paid family leave for new moms. Lame...we are going to be alone in the office for almost 2 weeks coming up (other people are traveling, whatnot) and I swear to god if I have to sit there in silence the whole time, I will scream and throw stuff! yaaahh! |
