I've written before about my maternal grandfather having Alzheimer's. He is not doing well and today when my mother, aunt and grandmother went to visit him they found him in very bad shape. They don't want to leave him as they think the end is near. I know that they want his suffering to end but this is extremely hard on them and if anyone has some comforting vibes to spare they could use them. Thanks. He is absolutely in the process of dying. We were all there with him for hours last night and then everyone but my grandmother, aunt, mom, uncle and dad left and those people stayed through the night. He is comfortable and absolutely knew we were there and was comforted by that. I'm heading to school for some study groups today, I have exams starting on Monday & had classes up until yesterday so I am quite uprepared but I am going to just try to do what I can. And hugs for your family. This is so hard. My grandmother eventually died after years of suffering severe dementia and my husband's grandfather and grandmother both also suffered from Alzheimer's. It's unbelieveably hard on the families. Heartwrenching Peace to all of you.
