6 seater vehicles?

Our mini van has hit the dust! We're going to try being a single car family, at least for the summer, but we have 4 kids sometimes and s/o transports big pieces of art...we need a rig. I definately need to go used. I'm attracted to hybrid or biodiesel, but cheap is good too. Suggestions? Thanks!

I just got one of these and I love it. There is a 3rd row in the back and seats 8 people total. I don't know how much you can spend, but this is the most expensive thing I have ever bought. I found it on craig's list and paid about $3000 less than I should have for it - I got the oldest version possible for $12,700. It's so much money to me, but I would ultimately love a hybrid suv type car with a 3rd row and I know that I could never afford that. 4 wheel drive is essential where we live so I need to be realistic about lugging my family around throughout the winter and since I grew up in minivans (and can't deal with the idea of having one), the pilot suits us nicely.

We just bought a used Buick Rendezvous - seats 7. There are 6 of us so it is nice to all be able to go somewhere at once. The reviews on it are iffy - I think it was actually just voted as a used car to avoid - but we got a 3 year warranty on it so I think will be covered for some stuff if it goes bad!

Other than that, I love it. The gas mileage is so-so, between town and highway I am averaging about 22 mpg, though on the highway it gets closer to 27. It is a really, REALLY comfy vehicle to drive. And we picked it up really cheap. I've just been driving less to compensate for the extra gas used.

Seats 7 and you can fold down the rear seat for cargo room and still get 5 people in it.

We;re digging it. Though it's a bit of a gas hog.
