Thesis defense

Submitted by enygma on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 2:17pm.

Tomorrow, 2 p.m. Grandpa watching the wee man. Ex husband watching the mid-size man. Freedom to talk to four grown, intelligent, and somewhat attractive men about my passion for at least an hour. It's just a teaser of things to come. *Swoon*

It's kinda sick that I look forward to my thesis defense so much.

Congrats! I'm so impressed that you are looking forward to it...I was nervous as hell!
What is your topic/title?

I'm so ready to just be done with grad school. I had planned on being done a year ago, but !surprise! the wee man came to visit...so I took an extra year. It's hard to write a thesis with a baby!

Anyway, the title:

I had to google to know what the heck you were writing about. HA! Sounds great. I'm glad I did my MA/half PhD/MLS stuff way before my son came along. There is absolutely no way I could imagine writing a thesis with a baby on my lap. I was teaching a technical writing course the semester I gave birth and that was hard enough! Now that he's 2, I've shifted over to lit classes and it's fairly easy to jump from Duck in a Truck to A Room of One's Own. You go, girl!

Will definitely be thinking about you tomorrow! Have a great time!
