My birthday was in early March. My mom asked me what I wanted and I suggested she take me to get my hair done, imagining she would spring for a nicer doo than I would get myself, and we could have a mother daughter afternoon of it. She's continually blown me off about it since then, though I've said I need to do it soon or I'll just do it on my own. Because I need a haircut; that's why I suggested it. In early March. Her birthday is this week and she made a big point of wanting my family to take her out to dinner since her husband will be working late. We planned on that, and then taking her to an event showcasing the kids work at ds's school. She called this morning and said she wants to go to dinner at 3:30 because she has to go get her hair done that night. Um...am I overreacting, or is this just shit pie smeared in my face?
