blah blah blah

1. First off, new music! It's so great to have new, eclectic mixes. I've been listening on the road--thank you ladies.

2. I went and saw a movie alone tonight--Juno (loved it!) at "burger, beer and a movie for $10" at this theatre with couches. I thought it'd be full of hipsters but I'm positive I was the youngest one there, and the audience was almost funnier than the movie: "did they say 'Junk?' hee hee!". I felt several curious glances my way and wanted to disclaim that I was *so* happy and relaxed to just be alone, for once.

3. I look like a mom, a raggedy, too busy, doesn't care what she looks like one. I want to be happenin' again. Anyone up for a superficial improvement challenge?

4. Plugging ahead with my business; I'm going to look at swawnk new office space tomorrow. I've been a little put off with the elitist vibe coming from this group, but I need a shift, and an object in motion tends to stay in motion...so here I go.

Ending at 4: what's your blah blah's tonight?

I was feeling SO blah lately and I posted about turning into a frump. And then I got my hair colored and I feel so much better. It was more expensive than I should have paid, but it was so worth it. I recommend getting your hair done.

My mom said she'd treat me for my birthday but I think she's flaking out, so I'm probably looking at a low budg. job. Still, it'd be nice to lighten up.

Wish we had one of those!! Wow.
Okay, let's see...

1. Finally got to the 10lb loss that was the first goal of my long-term body goals. Started Pilates and LOVE it. Finally getting baby to stay at the child-watch at the Y without too much fanfare and drama, though he's still not at the "bye, Mama!" stage. Going to treat myself to a manicure for reaching goal.

2. My sick family is finally almost all the way better with a few lingering coughs and runny noses but nobody has a fever or feels like crap so that's wonderful. We sprung ahead and it's not dark at dinner time...spring is coming, hooray.

3. Going in to help at my kids' school 3 times this week. That's a lot but 2 times I can bring baby boy so it's no hassle (the hassle comes when I have to find a sitter for him) Ds is "star of the week" this week and dd has no idea I'm going to be her class' "Mystery Reader" this afternoon...she's going to be so surprised and happy.

4. Feeling really good about finding our place in this township/school community, befriending new families all the time, helping and being helped by friends and neighbors...it feels like the way life should be. I like it.
