i helped nate's mom (my mil) set up a montessori toddler room in her basement to provide childcare for four children - two of my nieces, mecah and one other child. i'll be in the room monday, wednesday, friday from 9-3. i am a certified montessori teacher and have billed other families as much as $12/hour for this. i know they are my family, they are excited about this and willing to pay (within reason) i just have to give them an amount.
20 hours a week for 3 other children
in addition to giving lessons, i will be potty-training/diaper changing, providing snacks and lunch, and doing a naptime.
here's a rough draft of our day:
830 - 9 drop off, morning snack
9 - 915 circle
915 - 1015 work time, and individual lessons
1015 - 1030 potty/diaper/washup
*also provided as needed
1030 - 1100 outside (weather permitting)
1100 -1115 wash up, and prepare for lunch
1115 - 1140 lunch
1140 - 12 clean up, potty/diapers
12 - 2 story, nap, potty/diapers
2 - 220 work time
220 - 240 snack
245 - 315 outside
315 - 530 (pick up) children are with mil
