dean had a playdate with the girl who sits next to him at school, her mom said, "E is so impressed with dean's smarts and would love to have him over soon." well, who can refuse an offer like that?!! we went expecting a typical 2 hour stay, and it turned into a 5 hr afternoon into evening!! the mama and i just talked and talked and talked, the kiddos - all 4 (she has a 3 yr old boy and i brought mecah) got along so well!!
this mama and i became fast friends, and i think we will be for a long time.
this is the first mama friend i have had in real life for a long time (besides you wifemotherslave!) this is sad to say, but so true. i get nothing but cold shoulders from every other mama at dean's school, at the cafe, at the park, at playgroup. pretty much everywhere
we must have been needing each other, because we departed ways with promises of having coffee, more playdates for the kids and real happiness at spending the afternoon together.
