I was thinking similar things (although I was too chicken to claim my placenta. But yeah, I'm not a meat-eater, so it was more of an anthropological thought process than a culinary one.) New York Strip...maybe. Are there bones in the cut? If there are no bones, it is NYS steak, if there are, he has no idea.
