suzuki mamas?
anyone have any experience with the suzuki method? my DD turns 3 in spring and she's waaay into music (yeah yeah, all kids are, i know...) and with BD being a musician and all, it seems like it will be worth exposing her to lessons sooner than later.... any thoughts? first-hand experiences?

...actually, dd is way into music also and has shown a lot of interest; any info about any method/what has worked would be helpful.
I don't know anything about the method, but I think that if your daughter is into music, you should do everything you can to immerse her into it at a young age. Play music all the time, maybe find some lessons that start them young, buy her some little child-sized instruments, etc. Now's the time to hone those young skills. Maybe do some Googling and see what other ideas you can come up with.
Mark has been talking to a lot of instructors at festivals about getting Mia started with her fiddle (violin) and they all seem to agree that 5 seems to be a magical age. I believe Suzuki method is to make sure the instrument is scaled down to the childs size and they learn musical notation. I also have heard that you should get them something that can be tuned (and stay tuned).
