Teen Steroid Use
I heard this guy on NPR. He lost his son to suicide from steroid use. It's worth checking out, if your kids are into sports.

He said the pressure on his son had been intense, as nearly half his team was ON steroids.
Ok, so I'm thinking: HALF! What percentage of America's teen sons does that represent?! In these testosterone-fueled times, is this a symptom, or a cause?
Will this lead them toward the military, or other gangs?
I'm lighting a candle for our young men.

There really isn't a lot of steroid use among military members, because of strict and rigorous testing for illegal drug use. If they ever catch it, usually they get kicked out.
When they dosed my friends with amphetamines in the 90's the only place for miles that you could fill the prescription was the Naval Air Base.

Soldiers always look really toned & healthy to me, like they come by it honestly. (No wonder they're so hot!)
I just meant the steroid "attitude" shaping our boys, socially. They become skilled at it.
On the radio piece about Steroids in baseball, there was a mention of use by the players on the Texas Rangers in the early 90's when George Bush was their owner.
