1. this girl and this new trike. grateful that i am the lucky one who gets to see this smile everday *darn it, photobucket it down. see attachment. **yay! now it's working:

2. despite initially being pretty grumpy and angry about the mediation process, it seems like bd is softening up and at least being cordial to me.

3. grounded. i feel so grounded knowing what the custody agreement will look like until she is 5 years old. no more surprise arguments.

4. learning some things i didn't know during mediation. like the fact that bd wants to move up to my neighborhood in the next few years so that she can go to school near both of us.

5. lazy sundays. i need to clean the house something fierce but i am taking a bit to chill first.

6. family is coming to town just about every weekend this month. grateful and stressed at the same time. nice combo.

7. still knitting.

8. six feet under. i am back to watching the first season. i love that show, man.

9. ariel. sometimes pulling out that old coffee stained copy of the survival guide is just what is needed.

10. cutting myself a break. i'll get stuff done today and whatever i don't can wait.

#4 - so nice to hear

my dad has worked really hard to stay close to his other two daughters - even when it meant leaving a place he loved. This has been incredible for the girls, they can walk between their parent's houses and now as teens, have somewhere safe where they can go when they need a break. Logistically it is also easier - say if homework or soccer/dance clothes are forgotten, and their commute to school is the same from either parent's place - this makes mornings easier (same wake up time at both places).

Silently, I am also just really jealous that my dad saw the importance so long after my childhood, I remember all the trials of living so far apart that most years I had to fly to see him and often only saw him twice a year. Sad

here we go again

LP, what a lovely list. You deserve a break, take it. And can I tell you, your little girl's smile makes me smile every time I see her. She is beautiful and so full of joy, thanks so much for sharing.
