years ago when it first came out, a friend used her photoshop to help me restore a photo, and she showed me all the stuff you can do with photoshop. right then and there, i swore to never believe media images again, but i have never stopped being disturbed at the lengths media makers go to to spare audiences - what? humanity?

Case study #1. Body placement. for some reason I thought placing my body *behind* the big green chair would be a slimmer look. Umm, can someone say...MORON with big head.
Case Study #2 Never, I repeat, never let flabby forearm rest against a solid object (note Popeye shaped biceps)
Case Study #3 Spaghetti straps? What was I thinking?
Case study #4 Neck? Where? Hunchbacked. There.
Case study #5 Half baked expression with crows, scratch that, ostrich feet.

you look just like Faith did *after* her photoshoot! Minus two more kids.
I adore Faith Hill, she and her husband seem like good people. and she has a pretty voice, I love her music! I must be blinded because I am a fan of hers, but I didn't see much in the way of back fat. The untouched pic looked fine. The pose was very awkward, they could have posed her better than that.

i wonder what it must feel like to work so hard to be the "perfect" product, only to *still* not be good enough.
why oh why do we allow ourselves to be disillusioned? why do we as a society turn our noses up at authenticity? we really do shoot ourselves in the foot, don't we. all these women trying so hard to be something that doesn't even exist. makes me sad.
