This is what I eat when I'm dieting

Breakfast every day: 1 cup Stonyfield Farm vanilla or maple yogurt (has added fiber so makes you feel more full)
1 1/2 c. berries

Lunch - anything by Lean Cusine. These are seriously great frozen meals and the grocery store seems to have them on sale every other week. The big dinner ones often have no more calories than the littler ones.

Snack
Stringless snap peas, a banana, whole wheat tortillia (a big one) with one table spoon of peanut butter, Pirate Booty, Cafe Rio coffee candy (trader joes), Lattes

Hope this helps

my new snack is popcorn with nutritional yeast on it. Nutritional yeast has a lot of goodness and I like the taste too.

here's an example of what i

here's an example of what i eat when i'm being good:

Breakfast- oatmeal or high fiber cereal with seasonal fruit and a cup of coffee. it's usually right around 300 cals and definitely fills me up.

Lunch- whole wheat toast spread with cream cheese, a slice of turkey, cilantro, and red onion. i usually have this with a cup of yogurt ( i like stoneyfield farm too! vanilla is my fave.) and a quick salad of spring mix, tomato, and avocado if i can get my hands on it.

Snacks- I'm not a big snacker, but usually when i want something, it's a sweet something that i want. i usually make some type of quick bread of muffins throughout the week and i'll have one of those. also, this isn't filling, but it curbs my sweet tooth, i'll make popsicles out of my favorite juice and frozen berries.

Water and toothpaste

btw...are awesome. If you are hungry and have already had your calories or can't have more for a while, brush your teeth and drink 8 oz. of water. It helps a lot.

Also...getting rid of soda and juice is a huge step. I don't know if you drink those things or not. If you go to the store and get a bunch of peppermint, hibiscus flower, rose hips, ginger and lemon...or whatever, you can make a big pitcher of iced tea to keep in the fridge. If you sweeten it, try using some stevia...or if that doesn't work, then a tiny bit of honey. It's so much better than drinking high calorie sodas and juice. You can also cut your juice by mixing one part juice to 3 parts mineral water...which provides you with calcium as well as carbonation.

We try to eat greens every day for either lunch or dinner. Collards, kale, mixed salad greens, spinach, etc. They are low calorie and super good.

Cabbage is great. It takes more calories to digest it than it has in it. Saurkraut, cabbage rolls, cabbage soup...yum.

veggies!

boring, I know, but raw or steamed veggies or a big salad (can you go without dressing or use lemon juice?) can fill you up for very few calories...

herb tea is another favorite, has flavor and the hot water makes you feel more full, esp when you just have the munchies and aren't really hungry.

Fruit is good for a sweet tooth, way better to have too many calories from apples and oranges than from ice cream -- I find that bananas are really filling. Also when I am trying to cut calories I do nonfat yogurt for dessert (I have such an ice cream fixation) or fruit and nf plain yogurt.

in weight watchers

cucumbers are 0 points so I like to eat them all day if I can, though I bought a doughnut today & have been hitting the trail mix pretty hard. I also try to keep raw snap peas and baby carrots in the house. Once you detox from sugar it's way easier but I am so not there right now

Fill up on veggies. I just

Fill up on veggies. I just rejoined Weight Watchers and it helps SO MUCH to track everything I eat. Most veggies have close to no calories, so I eat them on the side of everything. Really high fibre bread is filling and yummy. I stir fry everything, snd have replaced "white" carbs with whole wheat, for pasta, rice, etc. Light tofu is awesome, too.

Ten pounds?! That is awesome, mama!
