dreamy dreams - travel

If you (and your kid(s) and partner(s) - if you have one) could go anywhere on earth for three weeks where would you go and why?
I am curious and we are also planning a trip in the next year so I am fishing for ideas too!

with side trips to Czech Republic. I lived in Nitra, Slovakia for three different time periods of 5 wks, 6 months, and 15 mo. Slovakia is my favorite place in teh world, and Prague is my favorite city. I haven't been back in 10 years and I miss it every day. I get physically ill every time I think of being separated from my second home like that.

PEI is my second favorite place. We spent our honeymoon there and it's idyllic.

There are so many places I want to visit and see in my lifetime, but yet I feel that even if I never went anywhere different than these two places again, I'd die completely happy and fulfilled.

To the eAst Coast, just because I've never seen it. PEI, New Foundland, New Brunswick and all those crazy little provinces over there.
I would love to rent an RV someday and bring a couple other choice family members as well as Mr. and N. We could go alone, but I have a feeling it would be somewhat tiring with just the 3 of us. I would make a 2 week trip of it, at least.
I decided last time I went abroad (to Switzerland and Germany, both of which I love BTW) that I actually love Canada the most and really should explore it more.

i'm going to croatia and bosnia for a week in august for a friend's wedding, and this really is a dream come true. but i'm going without BD or DD, and i suspect that it's gonna be both a dream and i nightmare (my first trip away from DD!) i'd love to go back there with them when dd is a bit older, rent a villa on an island in the adriatic. just relaxing in the sunshine and crystalline waters, drinking wine and eating fresh seafood with friends is heavenly to me.

Brazil

Italy, esp Sicily

Menorca, Majorca

Portugal and The Azores

Australia and/or New Zealand

Iceland

First choice, hands down, Switzerland. Second is a three way tie between France, Italy, and Sweden.

I have just always had an affinity for all things Indian. Close second is New Zealand.

We'd probably go to Costa Rica. Partially because I have "family" there, partially because it's Spanish-speaking but SAFE (unlike, oh, Columbia, Cuba, and El Salvador, all places I want to go to but not with H until she's at least a teenager). It's BEAUTIFUL, amazing beaches whatever your taste, awesome food, awesome wildlife...can't say enough.

I also want to go to India, but again, not until DD's significantly older. Somewhere in Europe could be fun, too...Prague, perhaps?

Easy safe travel, familiar, kid-friendly. I like San Jose - even the seedy parts. It has the nicest airport in all of Latin America, and I love the diversity of the country - beaches, rain forest, cloud forest and rugged mountains all within a day's drive. My one complaint is that other than the fresh tropical fruit, the food is lame!

Hehe, I disagree--probably because gallo pinto rocks my socks. I could honestly eat nothing but rice & beans and fruit all day...of course, it probably wouldn't do great things for my GI system, but you know, that's secondary to taste. Laughing out loud

because the air and light are so beautiful, the food is SO delicious and the place makes me feel alive. would bring dd for sure. every friday evening, thousands of people do a city-wide inline skate as traffic is shut down for hours.
