learning new skills (ho)
so this past year I have been re-learning how to drive. I am not really enjoying it too much, but I will be glad to have my drivers license again and it will be handy to take the kids out to the country whenever I want.
I am also learing about building from my Dad. Our front porch was rotting right off the house so we pulled it off and are building a new one. I am really enjoying learning how to build. Very satisfying.

Carpentry is always a good skill to learn, you can always apply that knowledge somewhere! nice job mama

i leave the carpentry to my husband.... if i took it up maybe i would actually get something done tho. i've been wanting a clothes line forever. i did build my goats house/shed a long time ago and am still proud of it now. its mobile which is really cool. we can pick it up and move with a tractor it when we need to.

rock that hammer! home ownership is kick ass that way. something so primally connecting in using your hands. i'm chomping at the bit to start painting our interior as soon as dh comes back from work. maybe for my birthday. (mmm- painting.)
