1. I had a sewing holiday this weekend! And I sewed... (first raingear for Ralph, then) a corset! Oh my gosh! Could I enjoy this more? No, I couldn't. I really couldn't. (You can watch me make a corset on my sewblog).

2. While I spent a day and a half sewing my husband took care of kids, did a lot of the cooking, and did a bunch of yard work. While I was in *heaven* sewing yesterday (at my parents' where my sewing room is) my mom came over and planted a bunch of flowers in our beds! Hee hee! That's right, bitches. Work!

3. My social calendar is full this week - a party, two kid-swaps, a date with a friend, two dates with Ralph (free childcare).

4. Taking a break from cooking and cleaning helps Ralph realize how much I do during the week; it's also nice to get a break from all of that in and of itself!

5. Ralph is exacting a Bedtime Bootcamp of sorts to get the kids to bed earlier. It's actually working. Good for him!

6. My kids got brown from all the yardwork, the little weedlings.

How 'bout yours?

unbelievable weather in NJ.

like, seriously, unbelievable. 80 dry degrees, sunny, breezy. warm enough to swim if you want to, but you don't have to...

took dd to a pool party. i let her apply her own sunblock, the humorous results of which i will post when my pictures get developed. worked on the house one day, went to the beach the other. dd helped with menu planning, shopping and cooked dinner last night.

oh and mister man did a thorough house cleaning while dd and i were shopping. nice weekend. i'm more of a G&R girl than dokken, but still an outstanding weekend.

your corset looks amazing, i'm so jealous of your skill.

on changing bedtimes: i like when the mister takes over sometimes, because it can yield results when the dominant caregiver isn't the one trying to intsitute a change. so, with something like a bedtime, it's perfect to have the secondary care giver take care of that.

You are one crafty bitch

I really can't believe how good it looks. Even with all your mad crafting skills. This is your first one right?
Can't wait to see it finished. You know you can make good money making corsets right?

I am amazed and awed. Wink
