I have known about Naomi's work for a few years; she hails from my area. This is her first youtube video and I thought I'd share. I find her a bit un-relatable in a few ways but I enjoy her newsletter and enjoyed this video.

Hmmmm... Thought Provoking

Thanks 733t sewz0r! She reminds me of an Alfie Kohn book... I'll look into her stuff- I'm actually having a hard time accepting my son's refusal to sit and eat right now- he won't get into his highchair anymore (he was in a chair attached to the table but he would kick when he ate and the tabletop started to come off, then he was in a normal chair with a pillow and a towel but he couldn't seem to handle that without being a daredevil and climbing on the now broken table all the time and trying to jump from chair to chair) so we're back to the highchair, which worked well for two weeks but in the past couple days he refuses to get in- so he didn't eat dinner, really, because I wouldn't let him sit in a big person chair- s now I feel like an ahole because the kid is obviously wanting to be more independent- after about 40 minutes of chair drama he worked for a half hour snapping the seatbelt shut and trying to open it again- I should have seen his need for independence instead of treating him like a difficult child- but the question now is WHAT THE HECK DO WE DO NOW? His chair shenanigans are potentially dangerous.

Cool. Thanks. I haven't

Cool. Thanks. I haven't heard of her, but I will look into her. We're having problems over "Why is Emmry never able to listen to what we say?" I guess I need to investigate more. I need some help with this kid. Smile "Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we're here we might as well dance".- Maya Angelou
