I feel pretty, oh so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and gay!
I have lot of things I'm happy about and I want to hear yours.
1. I just woke up from a dream where I made out with Thom Yorke. Except he was actually sexy, not gross. This worked out well for me.
2. Even though I'm on my Lady Days, I'm feeling great and my skin is clear. I have a new skin regimen thanks to the very-cheap organic high end brands to be found at the Canned Foods Grocery Outlet.
3. I am performing an emotional break from someone in my life who has hurt my feelings too many times. Although this is painful for me, it has also been freeing. The last couple days have been easier on me.
4. Still biking exclusively. Yesterday I took kids on a lunch date at the airport / birdwatching hike and despite two incidents of shit-in-the-woods we had a great time. I am grateful to have a physically active family.
5. This weekend Ralph swept, mopped, and waxed the floors! I am a freak, I care about this stuff.
6. Counseling last night went very deep. My husband cried for the first time. I was so disgusted. Just kidding! But seriously... There was a point where he was describing me and his concepts at my intellect were making me blush. I knew he thought I was smart but there is some part of him that pedestals me in a way that is graphic and flattering (but also, of course, not so helpful when you come down to it). We both revealed a lot last night and took another step toward one another.
7. For abovementioned counseling appt. we hadn't had a babysitter lined up; we called a dear (childless) friend of ours and he said yes! We came back and the kids had enjoyed it; Sophie had modeled all her dresses for our big bear of a friend.
8. I have a new repertoire for caring for Sophie's hair and it is growing longer, thicker, and shinier. I have rejected my mom's "just cut it all short her whole childhood" method and am slowly, SLOWLY becoming capable with my daughter's hair. I know this is the Dumbest Thing Ever to care about but it means something to me.
9. The goodies from Ralph's recent gift certificate to Amazon.com are trickling in. Last night was a Spiderman game which they all played while I went to bed early. I'm looking forward to my books!
OK, bring it!

Hey those are great 733! I want to be more demonstrative in my gratitude/attitude, so I'll give this a go:
1. Littlest had a babysitter with her sibs for the first time last night. We'd left while she was napping, so I was sure I'd get home to find her hysterical. She was actually like"oh,hi". Also gave sitters a huge hug on their way out.
2. Got to go out alone with DH for the first time in over a year. Yeah..yikes. But our anniversary is coming up next month, and we've already lined up above mentioned awesome babysitters.
3. Trip to the library this morning was easier than anticipated. Can't really hang out for long since baby is walking/sprinting/climbing but we got in and out without incedent.
4. Since I treated kids to a snack while we were out, they've been pretty mello. They aren't usually that crazy, but since I'm pregnant, every little thing they do seems magnified.
5. Have actually been feeling calmer since the new babe is now halfbaked (21 weeks). My hope is to achieve nirvana thru kid chaos. (I need to make that into a t-shirt)
6. Met a few nice moms and their babes out and about. Littlest is much more outgoing than me or her sibs. She'll be my teacher!
7. Highly recommend coloring hair to cover grays. It has been a boon to my ego!
That's it for now. Although I try to be tough, nobody believes it anyway. Thus my attempt to shatter my dillusions. Next!

1. Got a damn hair cut (my first in 9 months!), in a salon, and it is EXACTLY what I wanted. I don't know the last time this happned with a salon cut.
2. I look really cute with my new doo
3. Dee is a loving, sweet, adorable, funny baby...even when she's got a 102 temp.
4. I might be getting married soon.
5. I think I found a nice dress to wear that will also (hopefully) fit me later in the year when we have our second ceremony with all our family.
6. My house isn't spotless, but somehow it's managed to not devolve into a garbage dump. I credit my persistence and my Mister's willingness (and desire) to take direction and get shit done.
7. My Mister rocks.
8. I'm reading a new (old, but new to me) book on feminism that is blowing my mind.
9. I got to have a 3 hour nap yesterday and today. I will miss having two days off a week this summer when my daycare lady goes on vacation.
10. Me, The Mister, the kiddo and my MIL are going away for a week in August to an Island near here. I'm almost excited! (will be really stoked when it happens).
Nice list, Kelly, and I've had such a shit day, that I need to realize there are things to be happy about:
1. My pregnancy. I've had a rough time accepting the fact that I am pregnant again, with baby number three and I will have three kids under the age of 4. It has been a roller coaster of happiness, guilt, regret, wonder, anxiety, and anticipation. After moving through all of these emotions and letting myself feel them, I now realize that given the circumstances, this little baby was meant to be born. I am extremely lucky that I am super fertile and I have been focusing on the positive aspects of a new little being in my life, not the negative.
2. DH. My god, he puts up with so much shit sometimes and does not complain. He is adoring in a true, sincere way and really likes me pregnant. It is so nice to see him appreciate the way in which my body is changing, too. And, him and Ralph both did floors this weekend, which I was so grateful for. He even polished all the wood furniture when he was done. I was very happy about this.
3. Not having to worry about getting pregnant. Sex is fantastic when you don't have to worry about birth control. It is nice to have a sex life again, although my kids seem to know precisely the moment in which I'm about to climax and wake up screaming. Needless to say, they scream for a minute or two.
4. Mama friends. I had lunch with a friend from my old neighborhood, which is 45 minutes away. We meet halfway and it was really great to see her again. She is pregnant, too and her oldest is Ava's age, so it is nice to have so much in common. And Ava really enjoyed the lunch, which made me realize I really need to get out there and be friendly.
5. YMCA. My midwife gave me the okay to exercise again and I had an hour to myself while both girls were in babysitting NOT CRYING. This is a huge step for us and I am so looking forward to my date with the treadmill every Tuesday and Thursday. Having that outlet does wonders for me as a person; I am so much more patient and easier to deal with.
6. And of course, Hip Mama. Going without it for a week and a half made me realize how much I value all the mamas in this community.
7. Summer tv. It sucks which forces me to read more, do more crafts, and talk with DH more.
Oh god. I love Thom Yorke, even if he isn't too sexy, his voice makes up for it.
I've had just an all around horrible day. So, list the few good things that happened....okay....I can do this.....
1. Got to get out with just Indy today to run my errands. She slept the whole time in the car. (I'm so envious of you 733t, riding your bike everywhere. I've been telling myself one day when I'm not loaded down with kids I will do that, but you just really go for it. You rock!)
2. Pulling out of Starbuck's there was a homeless man on the corner. He was so hot ( i don't mean sexy) I felt sorry for him, gave him $3 and told him to get inside and order himself an iced tea. He smiled at me and I think it helped him. I know a Starbuck's in the middle of the afternoon always raises my spirits.
3. Finally cut things off, for now, with my brother. It's a good thing, but it hurts.
4. Matt possibly got more work today. He'll know more about it tomorrow.
5. I have emotional support.
6. This weekend will be fun. I get to see my parents, my grandma's, and my cousins. That's good, that's bad.
7. My 1991 Cindy Crawford workout is kickin my butt and I love it.
8. I think my car payment can be deferred if I call tomorrow.
okay that's all I'm doing. That's a really shitty list.
Thanks though, Kelly.

1 - Sleeping in until almost 7:00 this morning and waking up before my babes, breakfast in the coffee shop downstairs before sending dh off to his first day of "school"
2 - The strong Canadian dollar means that everything is really as inexpensive as it seems to be. I bought a Bella Band today for at least $12 less than it would be back home. I wasn't planning on doing much shopping - but I may pick up some more maternity stuff because the exchange rate makes it worthwhile (things like tees, which I need anyways - maybe even a bra). We are also going to look for a book for Sebastian called Adventures of a Nose because we'll save a good $5-6.
3 - The hotel brought a fridge up to our room (though it is costing us $10 a day which we may or may not get back) so we can keep things like *milk*. We also got a microwave which means we can "make" some of our own food - saving some cashola.
4 - My adorable son. He had a seriously insane early afternoon, went all rockstar on the room as I searched online for someplace for us to go run around. So I decided he should nap and he did - for two hours!! I got to poke around the internet for a bit (until the hotel's wireless went down) and then read in the window, behind the curtains, until dh got back (early!). The two of them are playing with playdough.
5 - Amazing vegetarian food for dinner from a restaurant two blocks away.
6 - Awesome service everywhere we've been today. The youngsters at pita-pit who just adored Sebastian and loaded our bellies with yummy foods and all the staff at our hotel who have been so nice and helpful and really sweet to Sebastian.
7 - My planned trip to the zoo tomorrow with another hipmama and her babe.
8 - My midwife who is so sweet and so caring.
9 - Looking forward to some fresh, organic, shade-grown coffee brewed in my room tomorrow morning.
10 - Feeling really good and healthy, maybe even a little "glowy" though I can feel a mean little breakout coming on.
11 - Being on vacation with a two-year-old is a little easier (in ways) and a lot more fun than traveling with a one-year-old. We have so many things to do this week, but I am happy that he's also happy to play with his toys or playdough while I relax a little.
1. DD waving to her shadow. She doesn't quite know what to make of it. Adorable.
2. DS got a soccer trophy and is all puffed up about it. Also we are reading 'From the mixed up files of mrs. basil e. frankenwieler' which I loved when I was a kid.
3. Went to the Y to swim today...but spent the whole time in the sauna. Good move.
4. Had a good talk w dsd. I don't understand her, but I appreciate her complexness; she's really interesting when she opens up, and ultimately I like her as a person.
5. Figured out how to use the speeds on the bike today. Yeah. Going up hills got a little easier.
6. C@rmen &lectra's 'aerobic workout' video. OMG. This is hysterical: "Now catwalk one, two, three, swing your butt out to the side and SMACK on five!" slaps ass while a blurb on the bottom explains how this works your gluts, and also to remember to make eye contact with your 'audience'. I died laughing.
1. despite nolan being pretty sick he was in a decent mood tonight. such a sweet babe he is. going to the dr in the morning for his fever.
2. ozzfest tickets for next month! M's father's day present from "nolan" (me). Yay. I'm excited for it.
3. I might get some money out of a settlement for a car accident I had nearly 3 years ago. Woohoo, new glasses and new windshield for the car!
4. Writing an article about teen parenting for scarleteen.com. They want my wisdom! Somebody wants to see my writing! Woohoo again.
5. dr. house on House (tv) really turns me on for some reason. I have the seasons on dvd. And our tv is so big he's lifesize now!
6. I'm thankful for having close, trusted FREE babysitters (my dad, mom, and little sister). When I'm about to lose my mind I can drop N off at either place for a few hours and not have to worry, at all. Plus he adores them all.
7. Bath & Body works is having a clearance sale and I'm going to buy something tomorrow. This is a big thing for me, I used to blow half my paycheck on their sales pre-nolan. This time it'll be like $15 but man oh man am I excited.
8. raspberry lemonade. grilled mushrooms. yum.
9. I'm going to be a first time aunt in august to a little girl! I am soooooo psyched!
10. writing my grats made me lift my chin a little. It's been a hard week here. thanks ms. sewz0r.
Wow that was great, I was almost rolling on the floor laughing. Thanks!
