What's going on in my life.

I've been lurking lately. We've still got so much going on. And after my mom spanked DS and we moved in w/ my stepdad, I've had less time at a computer. I've been house hunting during the day and trying to be as pleasant as possible at night. And it's hard. Living with your spouse and child is hard enough. Living with extended family is a feat. To those that have done it for long periods of time, I salute you. I'm about to lose it. But we've finally found a house and may make an offer as soon as tomorrow. It's exciting. The thought of actually owning something?? I'm trying not to jinx it.
DH and I are getting along moderately well. Better than before anyway. And we've agreed to start seeing a counselor after we get into our own place. We'd rather start on these terms, rather than when we're both pissed and ready to walk away.
DS is 15 months today. He's trying to say everything and it's just so DAMN cute.
We leave for a brief trip to the beach on Thursday and I'm excited about the break and DS's first ocean experience.

Peace and Love, Hipmamas!

I feel you

When Sebastian was around that age we lived with a very old friend of mine and her boyfriend/fiance. Fuck man, it was HARD. It strained my marriage and nearly ended my friendship with this woman (who for ever has been more of a sister to me than my own blood - complete with infighting).

I am sending you vibes - I hope you find your own space soon. Families NEED it whenever possible.

That's great

House vibes! I hope your trip to the sea goes well!
