all monies actually IN and accounted to right NOW -- including checks RECEIVED AND every dime i have transfered from Pay Pal is a WHOPPING $370...this does not include anything anyone has pledged to send as soon as they are able -- right now i need to count only hatched chicks, kwim?
I am glad some mamas are taking advantage of this as a chance to get some of Claire's pads & soem Vinny necklaces -- those 2 mamas are above & beyond wonderful in figuring out how to contribute even though they don't have the finances to do so monetarily

Sometimes I toy with the idea of becoming one myself one day. To help someone with the most difficult and beautiful thing they will ever accomplish is the definition of job satisfaction.

I'm in the same boat. (got a damned negative amt in the bank until payday due to forgetting about my sons school auto deducting money for his lunches w/ no warning that his acct was getting low! )
I think it's awesome that you're going for this. You're going to be AWESOME at it! I wish I would have known a good doula when I was pregnant with V!! I could have used a support person who knew what I wanted and wasn't afraid to speak up and help me have the birth experience that I wanted to have.
I, too, will get mine in the mail tomorrow. I'm so proud of you for following your dream! And of the mamas who've figured out how to help in other ways. Ya'll never fail to amaze me.
