swallowing my pride AND asking a big favor --
i know i have been absent from HM for a while -- LOTS been going on, lots,
part of this lots is that my job fell apart & i am in a position to make soem serious changes to my life & future
as a few of you know I have decided to get training for a career as a lactation educator & a doula....
i have the opportunity to begin an on-line extension class @ UCSD for Lactation Educator/Counselor Training beginning April 2...

thing is I do not have the $650 to register & the next chance to take this class is January
the next doula training class http://www.northcountydoulas.com/applicationfortraining.html will be in May & is $475
if my good friends could donate $20 each I would have the class & books paid & be ready to begin my career as a childbirth & lactation educator by the summer
I can repay everyone who could possibly loan me anything towards that cost -- I could pay back $100 every 2 weeks -- I just can't pay for these classes in one lump sum
anyone who can donate/loan more will be more than appreciated!

it really was hard for me to write this post -- i felt kinda funny about it, to be honest
when i read the 1st replies though I was put at ease and remembered that this IS my community & what wonderful giving mama friends I really do have -- even if i have yet to meet a bunch of you (still HIGH onmy priorities in life!)

my BIG concerns is that the class is an extension course & the doula school is most likely not covered by aid...I have messgaes in woth folsk at the places so I can find out about aid....BUT time is a concern iwth there not being another course that soon
